About
A practice built on clarity
I'm izaias - a product-minded Design Engineer and Frontend & Full Stack Developer. I design interfaces, then independently build, deploy, and maintain production products with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
My work centers on reducing cognitive distance: the gap between how a system is intended to work and how people actually interpret it. In code, that means I build UI that communicates state clearly, supports keyboard and screen-reader users, and stays maintainable as the product evolves.
I'm self-taught as a developer, but I'm not building from tutorials. I learn by shipping: shaping product decisions, implementing features end-to-end, wiring real data flows, and operating the result after release.
I use AI-assisted development to accelerate exploration and refactoring. The goal is faster iteration and better clarity - not "automation for its own sake." I still treat every AI-generated change as something that must be reviewed, tested, and accessible.
Philosophy
The most enduring products are not the loudest or most feature-rich. They are the ones that resolve the tension between intention and understanding: quietly, precisely, and with respect for the person on the other side of the screen.
That begins with humility: accepting that expertise can obscure novice perception, and that good design is often an act of translation.
